Palliative Care in General Practice – ONLINE session

Presented by Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA)
This workshop is for General Practitioners based in Victoria (AUS) who care for people with a life-limiting illness. Practice Nurses are also welcome to attend.
This interactive education session utilises group discussion and case studies to provide a greater understanding of palliative care.
- Recognising patients who need palliative care
- Communicating about end of life issues
- Voluntary assisted dying in Victoria
- Assessing and managing common symptoms
- Advance care planning
Facilitator: Fiona Runacres, palliative care specialist, with clinical appointments at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem and Monash Health.
To maximise learning PEPA offers 6 online GP learning modules. The modules have been developed by the Palliative Care Education and Training Collaborative and can be accessed here.
PEPA is an accredited educator with RACGP (Workshops are eligible for Category 2 CPD points).
